Elisabeth Ferstl, BA MA
Psychotherapist and Psychoanalyst, Individual Psychology (Alfred Adler)
In training (under supervision)
Since you are visiting my page in English, let me start by saying that I grew up bilingually and speak German and English fluently.
After my Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and my Master’s degree in Gender Studies at the University of Vienna I completed the first stage of my psychotherapeutic training, the psychotherapeutic propaedeutic, at the ÖAGG (Arbeitskreis für Gruppentherapie und Gruppendynamik).
I then started the second stage of my training, the method-specific psychotherapy training, at the ÖVIP (Österreichischer Verein für Individualpsychologie) and at the University of Vienna.
I now work as a self-employed psychotherapist in training (under supervision) at my practices in Vienna and in the Waldviertel (Lower Austria).
My professional experiences are in teaching (at a Viennese secondary school and as a trainer for apprentices) and as a tutor for medical and psychology students at the Medical University of Vienna where I taught patient-interviewing-techniques in hospitals and psychiatric facilities. I also have also worked as an intern at a women’s and family counseling center.
I have a certificate in gerontopsychosocial consultation and therefore also work with patients of old age and their relatives, guardians and nurses.
I work with young adults and adults.
